Summer Activities

Pack 97 hosts monthly hike nights throughout the summer, utilizing the area's extensive network of Metro Parks and hiking trails. Leaders guide the scouts on specified hike trails and activities are planned throughout to enhance the experience and assist the Scouts with learning about the natural environment, as well as the principles of Scouting.

Our next Hike Night will be July 20, 2021 at 6:00pm. We will be hiking one of the beautiful trails at Farnsworth Metro Park. Located at 8505 South River Road Waterville, Ohio

Belt Loop Bonanza is a fun program Scouts of Pack 97 can participate in all summer long to earn a variety of different loops and pins from the Sports and Academics collection. To learn more about the program, including what loops/ pins are available and how to claim them click the picture above.

This event has a little bit of something for everyone! The purpose is to help scouts earn:

- belt loops for team sports as part of belt loop bonanza program

- 4 requirements of the Cub Scout Outdoor Award badge

- A chance to fulfill the August National Summertime award requirement

In addition to those items, we are also throwing in a ton of fun by having a water balloon fight, a waterslide bounce house, a cookout, bonfire, campout, outdoor movie and breakfast before you leave!
